Exploring the Big Sky trails are impossible to resist. There are many to choose from that are just waiting for curious hikers to discover their beauty.

On a sunny day, there is nothing better you can do but head for a long hike and explore the magical sceneries of Blue Sky.

While hiking in Big Sky take some bear spray because you might need to use it. You can enjoy the meadows covered in yellow and purple wildflowers. The weather can be chilly even in August, so always take a sweater, just in case.

 

Another amazing place you must visit is the Gallatin River. It is especially famous for fly fishing and whitewater rafting. You can easily find guided tours for rafting and enjoy the big waters of Gallatin. Fly fishermen from all over the country come here hoping for an epic catch.

Big Sky Resort offers many outdoor activities. Bikers should bring their wheels and explore the cross-country trails. Also, there is a zip line, bungee trampoline, climbing wall and even paintball.

Of course, while you are here you should visit Yellowstone National Park which is only an hour ride from Big Sky. Don’t miss a trip to America’s first national park, it’s worth visiting Mammoth Hot Springs, Old Faithful, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and Lake Village. Visiting the park is a perfect way to spend a day in nature and complete your stay in this are.
